Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is our first PG13 movie. Just like every other movie outing, the boys gets very excited. As this movie is Shan Rae's request, and it was a last minute thing, I was a little worried if I could get movie tickets. This is when the GSC iPhone app came handy. I checked all the GSC cinemas in town for tickets availability. Most of the bigger cinemas are 80% booked, and left the 1st two row seats. My last hope was GSC Leisure Mall. I was so surprised that there are ample seats. Happily, I choose 3 seats and make payment via M2U. It is so convenient, and the 3 tickets only cost me RM20 *wide grin* Did I mentioned before that a good thing about GSC Leisure Mall is they provide booster seats for kids.

Shan Leo enjoyed the movie. But, Shan Rae fell asleep towards the most exciting part of the movie. Glad that he didn't make a fuss. After the movie, the boys said they wanted Transformers toy! Hmm...let's see if they will still remember about Optimus or BumbleBee a week or 2 later, and insist they want the toy.

Singapore Zoo

- Backdated Post -

We visited Singapore Zoo during the March school holidays. Glad that we bought the tickets online, hence we don't need to waste time queuing. Weather was a little unpredictable, with occasional showers in the afternoon. Nevertheless, we covered the entire zoo, watched most of the shows, took the tram & boat ride! Here are some photos of the day.

Took some photos before we enter the zoo.

A quick photo with some parrots.

It started to shower + drizzle in the afternoon, and glad that we were armed with a big golf umbrella.

Luckily some of the animals show area are covered, hence we can escaped from the rain.

The boys wanted to feed the hippos. Each animal feeding cost SGD3-5 (can't remember exactly how much). But, the amount paid are really for quality fruits, and not like the zoo here where the animals were fed with some rotten fruits.

We left the zoo at 6pm, its closing time. The boys wanted to take some photos with the crocodile.

And since we were already there, we decided to check out Night Safari which is just a short walk away. We saw a few bus loads of tourist entering Night Safari. Anyway, we didn't went it, but just walk around some of the shops there.

Overall, we still enjoyed ourselves despite the rain. Singapore Zoo is really clean and well organized. Next round when we visit Singapore again, we would love to visit Jurong Bird Park.

Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom

Yeah, we watched Kung Fu Panda 2 recently. And, this is the first time we watched a 3-D movie, and we watched it at Genting Highlands. All of us enjoyed the movie a lot, and we love Po. I guess this will also be our last time watching a 3-D movie because none of us like it, and Shan Rae watched the entire movie without his 3-D glasses. The little boy even cried at the part where Po found out his true identity!

I am really glad Shan Rae has the patience to finish the whole movie without asking for this & that. Now, whenever we passed by a cinema, he will insist on going to the cinema. The other day, he told me he wants to watch scary movies, and asked me to bring him to watch all the scary movies. Well, no scary movies for him at the moment, but we will be watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon this weekend.

Hop, An Easter Themed Movie

- Backdated Post -

We watched Hop sometime in April 2011 around Easter season. The movie is quite similar to Alvin & The Chipmunks, except that the rabbit plays the drum. Anyway, Hop is about a bunny called EB who is supposed to succeed his father's business or role as the Easter Bunny. But EB dreams of being a drummer only. Hence, EB ran away from home. Well, for the rest of the story line, grab a DVD and watch it. Personally, I quite like the movie.
